collective experiences of Muslim migrant families navigating the challenges of
finding the right match for their children while upholding Islamic values.
As migrants from Pakistan living abroad, many families face
the overwhelming challenge of finding a suitable match for their eldest
daughters. This isn’t just about finding a partner; it’s about entrusting a
piece of their heart to someone who shares their values, beliefs, and life
vision.
Unlike back home, we lack the support of an extended family
or a close-knit community to guide us through this process. In our new
environment, matchmaking often felt like uncharted territory, filled with
uncertainties and unanswered questions. Families here present themselves
differently—sometimes hiding key aspects of their lives or exaggerating their
realities. With fewer opportunities for in-person interactions, we found it
difficult to truly understand a family’s way of life, values, and compatibility.
It is notable that traditional matchmaking platforms didn’t
meet the needs of Muslim families in the West. Many were too formal,
impersonal, or simply overwhelmed us with endless profiles that made the
process even harder. Added to this was the challenge of bridging the cultural
gap between children raised in Western societies and families still rooted in
the traditions of our homeland.
It was through this journey of trials and insights that Rishtay Finder was born. Our
goal is to simplify this process for families like ours by creating a platform
tailored to the unique needs of Muslim migrants. We understand the importance
of upholding Islamic values while also respecting the realities of life in the
West. Our platform combines trust, transparency, and a personal touch to help
families find the right match for their children with confidence and ease.
